Welcome To SEASONS OF HOPE!
Who are we?
Seasons of Hope is a full service mental health, developmental disability, rehabilitation, and psychological testing facility. We employ speech, occupational, physical, social work, counseling, developmental, and psychosocial rehabilitation therapists, as well as psychiatric and clinical psychology professionals.
Are you different than any other facility?
Yes! While there are many good agencies, our niche is that we are aggressive in treatment, have a deeper spectrum of experts than most agencies, and function as a true interdisciplinary agency.
What does that mean, “function as a true interdisciplinary agency”?
That means we have all kinds of doctors and therapists, who work together as one team, so you cut out red tape, politics, and taxi cab time! We love the adage that many hands makes light work. Having more experts under one roof means less professional tug of war for you or your family member in need.
Why don’t other people do this?
Well, many try but it is quite complicated. However, this is the state of the art. Most of the new research shows that interdisciplinary care is the wave of the future for developmental disability, medical, and mental health impairments. Our personal research further shows that the vast majority of our clients are indeed benefitting as expected.
How does it all work?
Seasons of Hope has a simple formula: first meet with an expert doctor with a specialty in your area of concern, and then we recommend an individualized set of treatments and services unique to your needs. We don’t believe you should just get whoever does the intake. We want to match you with specialists who have expertise where you need it, who also fit with and adapt to your specific personality, all without being preachy or condescending.
What if I don’t agree with your recommendations?
Then we listen and talk to each other a little more to find out what the concerns are. Bottom line, we don’t have the power or desire to force you to do anything you don’t want. This is your life, you should be behind the wheel. However, while always kind, we will be very honest with you about what we think is necessary for your continued health.
And if I try it and I hate my therapist or therapy team?
Though we think this is unlikely, one of our strengths is that we employ over fifty people in five locations, and our therapists talk daily about coordinating cases to be sure we are delivering quality care. If you have something that is not working, tell whoever you feel safest discussing it with on your team, and we will make a change.
Sounds too good to be true. Are you guys some kind of scam?
Absolutely not, we are just very serious about what we do. Seasons of Hope is run by many individuals who are money conservative, and have held positions in state government and understand the importance of stretching a dollar and protecting the taxpayer. While we look big we have just consolidated many different professionals under one roof. This means less overhead, less redundant paperwork, eliminating unnecessary extra intakes and much more. Plus, better care equals higher recovery. By healing clients we save thousands of dollars to taxpayers for individuals who graduate from the therapy system.
Further, we are a company with a mission to bring diverse and rural outreach programs to Idaho. We have a track record of rolling profits back into expansion to counties that have historically not had such resources available to them. We believe that the recent jumps in suicide and hospitalization in Idaho has to stop, and we aim to do something about it.
One last question? Why? I thought all big companies were supposed to be greed machines. Don’t you lose money with rural outreach? What’s the catch?
It does cost money to do the kind of comprehensive care and rural outreach we do, and we suppose we could focus on just metropolitan areas only, but that is not what we are about. Seasons of Hope is run by people just like you. We have married and divorced, raised or are raising children with mental health disorders and developmental disabilities, seen and successfully conquered all types of difficult life circumstances. And we understand how to make recovery happen. Basically, we want to help and not give you the run around or waste your time. We treat patients the same way we would want to be treated ourselves. Our biggest compliment is the large number of clients who have shared with us that the services we have provided have given them hope again, and returned to them control of their lives.
Simply put, helping people, cliché or not, is our life’s mission. Come join us, and let’s see what we can do together.
